The Art of life

Art is accessible to all, it crosses boundaries and can send out strong visual messages in an instant. It can reach out and touch a person, bring people together, tell you a story.

Art makes the world a more vibrant and exciting place to be. Art is everywhere. Landscape designers create the most amazing gardens for us to visit. Architects stun us with their ingenuity and complexity of design in major cities all over the world. Creativity is part of the fabric of our society, interwoven within our lives and it is there for us to enjoy.

Throughout history, and before photography, art was used to capture snaps of history, recording details of people, landscapes and life that reference is still used as reference today. Within science there is a pleathora of creativity, there is structure and patterns to be found within life. Even at cellular level, life contains the most amazing designs. A religious person may agree that God himself is a designer.

Art is not always seen to be as important as other academic subjects at school but it is an integral part of our lives. Most of us spend our free time and money on some form of art, whether you enjoy going to the theatre, concert, cinema or simply buying a new outfit or a piece of furniture. One way or another...it's all an art form.

Art and creativity shapes and builds our world. A world that we all walk through, whether we are a scholar or an artist.
